Information used by the app
- Sign-in information: an account identifier and email supplied through ChatGPT sign-in. The hosting service may also supply a display name. We do not receive your ChatGPT password.
- Saved job content: job and section names, notes, bar sizes, quantities, lengths, additional weights, and save revisions when you save a job.
- Billing records: Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, payment status, billing periods, and records needed to handle payment notifications, refunds, or disputes. Stripe collects the payment and billing information entered on its checkout and portal pages. The app does not store full card numbers or security codes.
- Support communications: information you choose to include when you contact us.
- Technical information: our hosting and payment providers process information such as IP addresses, browser and request details, cookies, and error or security logs to operate and protect their services.
How information is used
We use information to sign you in, keep saved jobs associated with your account, provide calculations and billing access, respond to support requests, investigate failures or suspected misuse, and maintain business and payment records. Unsaved calculator entries are held in the current page and can be lost when it is refreshed or closed; save important work and keep a separate copy.
Service providers and disclosures
The app uses OpenAI/ChatGPT Sites for hosting and sign-in, Cloudflare infrastructure for application hosting and saved-job storage, and Stripe for payment processing and subscription management. Relevant information is processed by these providers as needed for those functions. Their handling of information is also described in their own policies: OpenAI, Cloudflare, and Stripe.
We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or legal claims. We do not sell your saved-job content or personal information, or use it for targeted advertising. The app does not include advertising trackers.
Cookies and security
Sign-in, hosting-security, and Stripe pages may use cookies or similar technology for their functions. The app uses HTTPS and server-side access checks for saved jobs. No internet service can guarantee complete security. Avoid placing unnecessary personal, financial, or confidential information in job notes.
Retention and your requests
Saved jobs are not automatically deleted when a subscription is canceled. To request access, correction, or deletion of information held by Rebar Calculator LLC, email support. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We retain information as needed to provide the service, maintain required business records, protect security, or resolve disputes; some information may remain in provider backups or records under their retention practices.
Requests about your separate ChatGPT account or Stripe services may also need to be directed to those providers. This policy does not limit any rights available to you under applicable law.
Children and policy updates
This app is designed for construction and estimating work and is not directed to children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information. We will post policy changes here with an updated date and provide additional notice when required.
